ACATIS: Launch of the Value Investing Pioneer
Dr. Claudia Giani-Leber founded ACATIS in 1994 and brought value investing—inspired by Warren Buffett—to Germany. ACATIS became one of the leading providers of value-oriented investing in German-speaking countries.
First Fund: ACATIS Aktien Global Fonds
The first ACATIS fund with a value strategy was launched in 1997. It is still managed by Dr. Leber today and, with a performance of over 1000%, is one of the most successful value funds in the German-speaking world.
Start of Collaboration: valuefonds is created
The W&L Asset Management AG is impressed by the performance of the ACATIS funds and contacts Dr. Leber. A close partnership grows out of their shared understanding of values. Through regular exchange, the idea emerges to develop investment products specifically for the Austrian market under the valuefonds brand.
First Launch: ACATIS Aktien Global Value Fonds
Together, Dr. Leber’s flagship fund, the ACATIS Aktien Global Value Fonds, will be relaunched in 2010 exclusively for Austrian investors—with a consistent value approach and active management.
Second Launch: ACATIS Value und Dividende®
The cooperation is being further intensified: With ACATIS Value und Dividende®, a fund is being created in 2013 that specifically invests in high-dividend quality stocks. The focus is on stable annual distributions and a disciplined value approach.
Strong exchange & joint events
The close partnership with ACATIS thrives to this day on personal exchange and the continuous development of the funds. The collaboration is enriched by trips to Warren Buffett’s annual general meetings in Omaha (USA) as well as joint events in Austria and Germany.
